Suns' John Jenkins: Makes regular season roster

Jenkins earned a spot on the Suns' 15-man roster, Paul Coro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Analysis:

Jenkins' contract for the upcoming season wasn't fully guaranteed, but the Suns valued the former first-round pick's shooting skills enough to keep him over Archie Goodwin, who was waived Monday as the final roster cut. Though his place with the Suns is secure for the time being, Jenkins is expected to serve in a deep reserve role to begin the season and will have a tough time seeing minutes in competitive games.
