The Houston Rockets made three cuts Monday, waiving forward P.J. Hairston, forward Le'Bryan Nash, and guard Gary Payton II, the team announced.

Payton was eligible for the 2016 NBA Draft, but went unsigned and competed in the summer league, after which the former Oregon State star signed a guaranteed deal.

With his release, the Rockets took a cap hit of $543,471, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins.
