Mavericks' Devin Harris: Very doubtful for Wednesday

Harris (foot) appears "very doubtful" for Wednesday's season opener against the Pacers, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

There was never any real optimism for Harris' chances of playing in the opener after he re-injured his left foot during the preseason finale Friday against the Nuggets, and it seems likely that he could be in store for a multi-game absence. J.J. Barea (elbow) and Seth Curry are expected to serve as the top two reserves in the backcourt this season, so Harris may be headed for a downturn in playing time once he's healthy again.
