Nuggets' Gary Harris: Chance to play Wednesday

Harris (groin) has yet to resume practicing, but still remains questionable for Wednesday's season opener against the Pelicans, Christopher Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Harris was given a three-to-four week recovery timetable when he was diagnosed with a partially-torn right groin muscle back on Oct. 5, so a potential return Wednesday would come on the early side of that projection. Given that Harris has only been able to take part in limited activities since suffering the injury, the Nuggets may need to see him return to practice Monday in order to feel comfortable keeping him active Wednesday. Due to the missed time, Harris could see his minutes limited early on, but should eventually settle back in as the starting shooting guard. Will Barton, the team's sixth man last season, would enter the starting lineup for any games Harris misses.
