Hornets' Cody Zeller: Takes contact during Sunday's practice

Zeller (knee) was able to take contact at Sunday's practice, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Analysis:

Zeller missed the entirety of the Hornets' preseason schedule, but has been gradually working his way back into the swings of things and was even able to participate in contact portions of Sunday's practice. He remains questionable for Wednesday's regular season opener against the Bucks and we likely won't get final word on his status until the team's morning shootaround. With that said, Zeller may have some work to do to his conditioning in order and could be dealing with some soreness, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he was ultimately held out.
