Hornets' Perry Ellis: Makes preseason debut Friday

Ellis (sports hernia) played five minutes in Friday's 109-74 preseason loss to the Timberwolves, missing his only shot attempt from the field.

Analysis:

Ellis was limited for almost all of training camp, but was finally cleared to pick up a few minutes in the preseason finale. Look for the Hornets to waive Ellis prior to the start of the regular season, but he could end up signing with the organization's D-League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.
