Warriors' Ian Clark: Paces bench in preseason finale

Clark tallied 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two assists, a rebound and a block over 18 minutes in Friday's 107-96 preseason win over the Blazers.

Analysis:

The reserve guard made a final push for a roster spot with a preseason-high scoring total and may have secured the primary backup role at two-guard behind Klay Thompson with the performance. Rookie Patrick McCaw has had his moments in preseason as well, but contributed only two point over 16 minutes Friday. Clark could thus figure in for approximately 15 minutes a night behind Thompson in the regular season, with the possibility for a bump in playing time during games in which the Warriors have decisive second-half advantages.
