Wizards' Otto Porter: Goes 7-for-7 from field in return
Porter (ribs) scored 16 points (7-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and added nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 23 minutes in Friday's 119-82 preseason win over the Raptors.
Analysis:
The Wizards as a whole were firing on all cylinders, with the team finishing the night 49-for-85 (57.6%) from the field, but Porter was on a level above everybody. After missing two games with bruised ribs, Porter returned Friday to provide his best outing of the preseason, likely quelling any doubt that he'll open the season as the starting small forward. That being said, second-year wing Kelly Oubre has looked excellent in the preseason and figures to carve out a larger role on the second unit in 2016-17, so Porter could end up losing some playing time as the season unfolds.
