Suns' Alex Len: Near double-double to close out preseason

Len (back) contributed 16 points (6-16 FG, 4-7 FT), nine rebounds and a steal over 24 minutes in Friday's 98-94 preseason win over the Lakers.

Analysis:

Len took the court for the first time since Oct. 12 after suffering through some back spasms over the last week-plus. The Suns had to be pleased to see Len and Tyson Chandler, who'd been sidelined with a hamstring injury himself, both log over 20 minutes in the final tune-up for the regular season. The two big men figure to dominate the boards on most nights in the coming campaign, given their rebounding proficiency. Len should see a healthy dose of minutes even if he comes off the bench, due to Chandler's playing time limitations.
