Hornets' Frank Kaminsky: Sprains foot Friday

Kaminsky suffered a sprained right foot in Friday's preseason finale against the Timberwolves and won't return.

Analysis:

It remains to be seen how severe the sprain is, but it's certainly an unwelcome development for Kaminsky, who could be primed for a big opportunity to begin the regular season with Marvin Williams (finger) and Cody Zeller (knee) both uncertain to be available for Wednesday's opener against the Bucks. With only Spencer Hawes, Roy Hibbert and Christian Wood in good health among the team's frontcourt, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist may be asked to play some power forward in the event both Williams and Kaminsky have to sit out Wednesday.
