Timberwolves' Andrew Wiggins: Will be held out Friday

Wiggins (illness) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Hornets, Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Despite putting in a full practice Thursday, Wiggins was listed as questionable heading into Friday's contest, and the Timberwolves decided it was best to hold him out for the third game in a row. Wiggins will have a few more days to rest and recover prior to Wednesday's season opener against the Grizzlies, and there has been no indication he's in any danger of missing that contest.
