Raptors' Terrence Ross: Will not play Friday

Updating a previous note, Ross (knee) won't play in Friday's preseason finale against the Wizards.

Analysis:

Ross was trending toward a return after a three-game absence, but it appears coach Dwane Casey may have reservations about using the swingman Friday and risking an aggravation of his knee injury prior to the regular season. It's still expected that Ross will function as the Raptors' top wing off the bench for Tuesday's season opener against the Pistons, but Norman Powell will assume those duties in the preseason finale.
