Nets' Yogi Ferrell: Gets waived Friday

Ferrell has been waived by the Nets, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

The 6-foot Indiana four-year starter signed a partially-guaranteed contract with the Nets in June and posted 8.8 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists with 17.0 minutes throughout four games in the Las Vegas Summer League. Although proving to be a capable NBA competitor, Ferrell was unable to crack the team's roster especially with Jeremy Lin entering the lineup as starting point guard. Ferrell could likely spend some time on the Long Island Nets of the D-League.
