Bucks' Jabari Parker: Has fourth-year option exercised

The Bucks announced Wednesday that they would exercise Parker's $6.78 million option for the 2017-18 season, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Parker made a successful return from a torn ACL last season, with a strong second half in particular bringing his final averages to 14.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game over 76 appearances. He's viewed as a key part of the Bucks' young core, so it was a no-brainer for the Bucks to exercise the fourth and final option of his rookie-scale deal. Parker is due to become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2018.
