Celtics' Marcus Georges-Hunt: Let go by Celtics

Georges-Hunt was waived by the Celtics on Thursday.

Analysis:

Georges-Hunt saw a total of just 16 minutes over two games during the Celtics' preseason schedule, scoring six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), to go along with two rebounds and an assist. After being signed to a non-guaranteed training camp contract in August, Georges-Hunt was not expected to make the regular season roster and his signing acted more as an audition for a D-League opportunity. Unless he finds interest on the free agent market, Georges-Hunt could start the season with the Celtics' D-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.
