Pistons' Marcus Morris: Returns from three-game absence Wednesday

Morris (knee) played 32 minutes in Wednesday's 103-92 preseason loss to the Raptors, finishing with 14 points (6-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 32 minutes.

Analysis:

Morris returned from a three-game absence to take the floor Wednesday, allowing all five of the Pistons' expected starters for the beginning of the regular season to get some run together in the exhibition finale. Coach Stan Van Gundy commented earlier in training camp about making a more concerted effort to reduce Morris' workload this season, so we could see him sacrifice a few minutes from the 35.7 per game he averaged in 2015-16, with sixth man Stanley Johnson being the most likely beneficiary.
