Celtics' R.J. Hunter: Scores 12 against the Knicks

Hunter dropped 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt) and added four rebounds and two assists across 24 minutes in Wednesday's 121-96 preseason loss to the Knicks.

Analysis:

Hunter barely saw the floor as a rookie, appearing in only 36 games and averaging 8.8 minutes per game. Though he has a year of experience under his belt, he's unlikely to see his role evolve much, as he's still behind Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart, and perhaps even veteran Gerald Green, for playing time at shooting guard. He only saw such an expanded workload Wednesday because the Celtics were resting four key regulars, including Bradley.
