Report: NBPA president Paul travels to New York for CBA talks

It's all hands on deck as the NBA and its players' union looks to hammer out the framework of a new collective bargaining agreement before the start of the regular season.

With the two sides reportedly meeting Wednesday to discuss the minor issues that haven't yet been agreed upon, NBPA president Chris Paul flew to New York to join in on the talks after his Los Angeles Clippers wrapped their preseason win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

The expectation is that a new deal will be in place before the Dec. 15 deadline by which either side must declare its intent to opt out of the current CBA. Paul's cross-country trip to participate should dispel any doubt about the progress the sides have made, and how near they are to ironing out a new agreement.
