Knicks' Carmelo Anthony: Sitting out for rest Wednesday

Anthony (rest) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Celtics, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis:

The Knicks will close the preseason with a back-to-back set that concludes Thursday against the Nets, so coach Jeff Hornacek is presumably saving Anthony for that game. Lance Thomas and Justin Holiday figure to absorb most of Anthony's minutes Wednesday.
