Rockets' Beverley insulted over GMs' toughest players list
Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley thinks he's one of the league's toughest players, but can't put his finger on why NBA general managers don't feel the same.
In an NBA.com survey, the league's 30 GMs selected Tony Allen of the Memphis Grizzlies as the toughest player in the Association, followed by Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook. Beverley was merely an honorable mention, falling outside the top 7.

Beverley voiced frustration on Twitter over his perceived egregious snub. He especially couldn't fathom finishing with fewer votes than Milwaukee Bucks point guard Matthew Dellavedova:
Beverley is currently deciding whether or not to have surgery on his ailing left knee. He's missed Houston's past four preseason games with the injury, and likely won't be ready for Oct. 26, when the Rockets open their season on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers.
