Cavaliers' J.R. Smith: In the starting lineup Tuesday

Smith will start at shooting guard in his preseason debut Tuesday against the Wizards, Joe Vardon of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Analysis:

Smith is only expected to play around 12-to-13 minutes Tuesday, as the Cavaliers look to ease him back after he re-signed with the team Friday on a four-year, $57 million contract. It may take a little while for Smith to shake off the rust after missing all of training camp, but once his conditioning is up to snuff, he's expected to play a role similar to what he provided during the Cavaliers' championship run last season.
