Draymond Green: Julius Randle has 'potential to be better' than me

As a versatile forward with playmaking ability, Draymond Green can't help but notice the similarities between him and Julius Randle.

Not only does the Golden State Warriors' Swiss Army Knife acknowledge the comparisons, but he believes Randle could be even better than him should the Los Angeles Lakers phenom reach his full potential.

"I think he can. I also think he has the potential to be better," Green told Mark Medina of the Orange County Register. "With the God-given gifts he has, he has the potential to be better. I’ll continue to grow. I’ll never stop working and I’ll continue to get better. But what is he, 21? That’s a lot of time to continue to grow."

Randle showed significant promise during his sophomore campaign, averaging 11.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.7 steals in 81 games.

"The thing about him you can’t teach is his heart," Green said. "When you have that heart and type of dog in you, you’re going to work. I think he can be really, really, really good."

Randle and Green will face off four times during the upcoming season, with the first matchup taking place Nov. 4 at Oracle Arena.
