Bulls' Nikola Mirotic: Day-to-day with lower back strain

Mirotic (back) deemed himself day-to-day following his early exit from Monday's preseason game against the Hornets, Cody Westerlund of 670 AM The Score reports.

Analysis:

This is seemingly good news for Mirotic, who left in the third quarter with what was diagnosed as a lower-back strain. With just one more preseason game left on the docket for Bulls on Thursday against the Hawks, it's entirely possible that the team will err on the side of caution and hold him out until their regular-season opener versus the Celtics on Oct. 27.
