Bucks officially trade Carter-Williams to Bulls for Snell

The Chicago Bulls have officially traded swingman Tony Snell to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for point guard Michael Carter-Williams.

The two sides agreed to terms on a deal Sunday.

Carter-Williams is coming off of his worst statistical season as a pro, averaging career lows in points (11.5), assists (5.2), and rebounds (5.1) in 54 games with the Bucks. The 25-year-old's poor play caused head coach Jason Kidd to shake things up in the second half, benching him for Giannis Anteotkounmpo last February.

With Rajon Rondo already in the Windy City, Carter-Williams will likely be used in a backup role in Chicago. The former Rookie of the Year still has plenty of potential, but could struggle to make an impact should he continue to shoot poorly from the field.

Snell averaged 5.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and one assist in 64 games for Chicago this past season. The former first-rounder could see minutes in the Bucks' starting unit with Khris Middleton recovering from a left hamstring injury.
