Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving: Will rest on Friday

Irving will be rested and not play in Friday's preseason game against Chicago, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Irving and the rest of Cleveland's starting lineup, along with a few bench players, didn't even make the trip to Chicago. The team won't push it's top guys harder than it needs to in the preseason, which is why they are resting on the second night of a back-to-back. Irving will likely return in the team's preseason finale against the Wizards on Tuesday.
