Magic's D.J. Augustin: Given Saturday night off

Augustin will not play in Friday's preseason game against the Pacers to rest, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Augustin has played sparingly this preseason, but still is expected to be the primary backup behind Elfrid Payton to open up the regular season. In Augustin's absence, look for C.J. Walton to take over as the team's primary backup point guard Saturday night and seeing an uptick in minutes.
