Lakers' Lou Williams: Given Saturday night off

Williams will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Warriors to rest, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Williams has been starting at the shooting guard position in front of Jordan Clarkson as head coach Luke Walton experiments with lineups prior to the start of the regular season. Now, with Williams taking the night off, look for Clarkson to be put back into that starting position and potentially see more minutes as a result. Nick Young could potentially see some extended action as well.
