Lakers' Jordan Clarkson: Continues to excel in reserve role

Clarkson managed 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), a rebound and a steal over 23 minutes in Thursday's 116-104 preseason loss to the Kings.

Analysis:

Coach Luke Walton's self-termed experiment with having Lou Williams start at two-guard and Clarkson come off the bench has now spanned all five preseason games to date, but the role doesn't seem to bother the third-year guard whatsoever. He's managed double-digit point totals in each contest, with Thursday's scoring serving as his preseason best. Clarkson still figures in to the starting role once the regular campaign commences, where he'll serve as a highly coveted fantasy asset on a fast-paced team that figures to be involved in plenty of high-scoring affairs.
