Rockets' Patrick Beverley: Ruled out for Saturday

Beverley (knee) did not practice Friday and will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Grizzlies, Mark Berman of FOX 26 Houston reports.

Analysis:

Beverley was not expected to be available for Friday's game, and the fact that he is still not practicing puts his availability for the Rockets' final two preseason games in doubt. For as long as Beverley is held out, Rockets will continue to play James Harden as their primary point guard, which is a set that the team will likely use in the regular season as well.
