Heat's Luke Babbitt: Out Friday against Spurs

Babbitt has been ruled out for Friday's preseason game against the Spurs with a right groin injury, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

It's not known when Babbitt picked up the groin injury, but even if it proves to be a minor setback, it won't help his slim chances of beating out Derrick Williams and James Johnson for the starting power forward role. Those two will benefit from more playing time Friday while Babbitt is sidelined.
