Nets' Rondae Hollis-Jefferson: Hits double figures for the first time this preseason
Hollis-Jefferson compiled 10 points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 24 minutes in Thursday's 100-97 preseason loss to the Celtics.
Analysis:
It's the first time that Hollis-Jefferson has cleared double figures in the scoring column this preseason, and he needed a strong showing at the free-throw line in order to accomplish that feat. With the Nets in rebuilding mode and possessing little depth on the wing, Hollis-Jefferson is set to open the regular season in a starting role at small forward and could push for over 30 minutes per night. His offensive game is still a work in progress and may prevent him from regularly finishing as a double-digit scorer, but Hollis-Jefferson should offer deep-league fantasy owners with serviceable numbers in the rebounds and steals categories.
