Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson: Returns from foot injury Thursday

Thompson (foot) posted eight points (2-3 FG, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block over 21 minutes in Thursday's 119-94 preseason loss to the Raptors.

Analysis:

Thompson finally made his preseason debut after sitting out the first three exhibition tilts due to left foot stiffness. The Cavs will likely continue to be cautious with their starting center, who will have the benefit of having a hold on the top job from the onset of the regular season after the since-departed Timofey Mozgov opened as the starter in 2015-16.
