The Oklahoma City Thunder had the letters "TC" displayed on their warmup gear Thursday night ahead of a preseason game against the Memphis Grizzlies at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla.

The initials honored the memory of Terence Crutcher, who was shot and killed by Tulsa police in September after appearing to get out of his car and raise his hands in the air.

Russell Westbrook took to Instagram shortly after the incident to voice his concerns over yet another case of racial profiling in the country, and suggest that the death of an unarmed man could have been easily avoided.

Five members of Crutcher's family, including 4-year-old Terrence Crutcher Jr., were invited to be guests of the organization for the game.

"We're so thankful that the Thunder sees the clear injustice of Terence being shot with his hands up and unarmed and the gravity of it happening here in Oklahoma and wanting to express their support for the family in some way," family attorney Damario Simmons told The Oklahoman's Erik Horne. "The family appreciates it and the lawyers for the family appreciate it also."
