Heat's Josh McRoberts: Ruled out for Friday

McRoberts (foot) will sit out Friday's preseason outing against the Spurs, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

McRoberts was able to log a limited practice earlier this week, but will be sidelined again Friday, as he's yet to be cleared to make his preseason debut. Considering he was ruled out a day in advance, it seems as if McRoberts could still be a ways off from a potential return, making it uncertain if he'll be ready for the regular-season opener. Derrick Williams, Luke Babbitt and James Johnson should continue to see the majority of the minutes at power forward while McRoberts is out.
