Jazz's Gordon Hayward: Won't require surgery on finger

Hayward won't require surgery to repair his fractured left ring finger, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Surgery likely would have lengthened Hayward's recovery timetable, but though he'll avoid that fate, he's still expected to be sidelined through mid-November. According to Mike Sorensen of Deseret News, Hayward was on the court for the Jazz's shootaround Wednesday morning, but was only able to shoot with his right hand.
