Hawks' Paul Millsap: Won't play Thursday vs. Detroit

Millsap (illness) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Pistons, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:

Millsap missed shootaround Thursday morning while battling the same illness that kept him out of practice Wednesday. The power forward has yet to make his preseason debut after he underwent a non-surgical right knee procedure in late September, but he was able to put in a full practice Tuesday, suggesting that injury is no longer an issue. Assuming the illness passes quickly and he's able to get in another practice in the next couple of days, Millsap could be cleared to play Sunday against the Magic. Kris Humphries will take Millsap's spot in the starting lineup Thursday.
