Jazz's Rudy Gobert: Another strong shooting effort Wednesday

Gobert managed 17 points (3-6 FG, 11-15 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal over 19 minutes in Wednesday's 111-110 preseason loss to the Suns.

Analysis:

The Stifle Tower recently proclaimed that his shooting would be vastly improved this season and continues to lend credence to that statement with his exhibition performances. Following Wednesday's effort, Gobert is now shooting 76.3 percent (29-for-38) from the charity stripe over four preseason contests, a considerable improvement over his 56.9 percent tally in that category last season. While the caveat about limited sample size applies, the 24-year-old is still producing enough in other areas even if the improvement from the free-throw line doesn't hold. He's recorded double-digit scoring efforts in three of the first four exhibition contests, with double-doubles in two of those outings.
