Jefferson teased Walton all summer for Cavs' Finals win

Like almost everyone on social media, NBA veteran Richard Jefferson has zero chill when it comes to reminding the Golden State Warriors and their fan base that the Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to become champions.

Jefferson is close friends with former Warriors assistant and current Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton, as the two were teammates on the Arizona Wildcats during their college days, so he's had several opportunities to rub in Cleveland's historic comeback.

"All summer long, I've had to hear from Richard," Walton said during a recent appearance on the "Open Run" podcast. "Any time we are doing anything competitive and his team is losing, he will be like 'Hey guys, I've been down way worse than this and won. So don't worry about it.' That's his go-to line all summer."

Cleveland became the first team in NBA history to rally from a 3-1 deficit to become champions. Only three other teams even got as far as forcing a Game 7, but, unlike those squads, the Cavaliers managed to go all the way and bring the city its first major title win since 1964.

With Kevin Durant playing in the Bay Area this season, Jefferson might suffer some heartbreak of his own. For now, though, he'll have his fun at Walton's expense.
