Nuggets' Will Barton: Ruled out for Wednesday

Barton will sit out Wednesday's preseason matchup with the Timberwolves for rest purposes, Kyle Ratke of Timberwolves.com reports.

Analysis:

Barton, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jusuf Nurkic and Danilo Gallinari are receiving the night off, as coach Michael Malone wants to get a better look at some of the guys lower on the depth chart. It's expected that Barton will return to the lineup Friday against the Warriors and look to solidify his spot as the primary fill-in for Gary Harris (groin) in the starting lineup at shooting guard.
