Cousins shows off hot yoga moves

NBA/YouTube

A lighter, leaner, and more flexible DeMarcus Cousins is a result of an offseason regiment that includes several sessions of hot yoga.

"It's something I started maybe two years ago," Cousins said. "My high school coach, he was the first one to take me. I kind of thought it was a joke, but the more I tried it, the more I enjoyed it. I really started taking it serious this summer, and it's been great for me."

Cousins started focusing on getting in shape shortly after the Sacramento Kings ended their 2015-16 season, losing 20 pounds in just a matter of months.

He garnered a lot of heat (no pun intended) on draft night when he tweeted out "Lord give me strength" following the team's selection of Greek center Georgios Papagiannis, although he later clarified that his words were about a hot sculpting class he was taking.

With all of the sessions he's committing to, the basketball world should probably go ahead and refer to Cousins as the "Boogie Zen Master" from now on.
