Knicks' Derrick Rose: To remain away from Knicks until conclusion of trail

Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek said Wednesday that Rose will remain away from the Knicks until the conclusion of his civil trial in Los Angeles, Mark Berman of the New York Post reports.

Analysis:

Rose made his Knicks debut on Oct. 4 against the Rockets, but he's missed the last two preseason contests while attending the ongoing trial. The point guard's availability for the remainder of the preseason would appear to be in serious jeopardy, as the trial isn't expected to conclude until next week. Brandon Jennings, who has played well of late in Rose's absence, will likely step in as the starting point guard for as long as Rose is sidelined.
