Grizzlies' Tony Allen: Will not play Tuesday
Allen (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's preseason tilt with the 76ers, Brian Seltzer of Sixers.com reports.
Analysis:
The veteran guard is still battling some knee soreness, which will delay his preseason debut for at least another game. Grizzlies coach David Fizdale has already indicated that he expects Allen to start at shooting guard when the regular season opens in about two weeks, but he could be held to a limited minutes count if he's unable to get much preseason action under his belt beforehand. While Allen remains sidelined Tuesday, Troy Daniels and Wade Baldwin figure to see extended time in the backcourt.
