Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki: Confirmed to play Tuesday

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle confirmed that Nowitzki would play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Thunder, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

Nowitzki sat out the Mavs' first three preseason games in order to pick up some rest in advance of the regular season, but he'll presumably start at power forward Tuesday and see limited court time in his exhibition debut. It's expected that the 38-year-old's minutes will expand as the preseason schedule unfolds, but he won't make for an enticing DFS pick for Tuesday's slate.
