Wizards' John Wall: Will be limited in preseason debut

Wizards coach Scott Brooks said Wall (knee) will likely play between 12 and 16 minutes during Monday's preseason game against the Knicks.

Analysis:

Wall was held out of the Wizards' first two preseason games while recovering from offseason surgeries on both of his knees, but after participating fully in practice Sunday, he was cleared to take the court Monday. It's expected that Wall will start at point guard and see a few minutes at the start of each half, but the Wizards won't try to overwork him in his return. Wall's minutes count will likely be expanded as the preseason unfolds, so it's expected that he'll be cleared to take on a full workload by the time the regular season starts.
