Pacers' Al Jefferson: Notches double-double in preseason win

Jefferson put up 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 26 minutes in Thursday's 115-108 preseason win over the Bulls.

Analysis:

Coach Nate McMillan has already named Myles Turner as his starting center this season, but Jefferson has fit in well on the second unit through two preseason games. The big man has produced a combined 29 points and 16 boards in 44 minutes across those games, showing that he can still challenge for double-doubles while receiving less than a full workload. Jefferson's status as a bench player makes him unworthy of anything more than late-round selection, but he should outproduce many starting centers around the league, who often profile as defensive specialists.
