Wizards' John Wall: Will sit against Sixers

Wall (knee) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Sixers, J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.

Analysis:

Wall underwent procedures on both of his knees during the offseason and continues to work his way through the recovery process. The point guard has mostly been a limited participant since the beginning of training camp, but was able to participate in five-on-five drills Monday, which could indicate that he's closing in on a return. The Wizards will see how he progresses through the weekend before determining if he'll be ready to go for the team's following preseason game Oct. 10 against the Knicks.
