Suns' Eric Bledsoe: Bounces back with strong performance in second preseason game

Bledsoe totaled 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four assists and three rebounds across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 104-99 preseason loss to the Jazz.

Analysis:

After being held to three points on 1-of-6 shooting Monday in the preseason opener against the Spurs, Bledsoe responded with a better game Wednesday while playing only one more minute. Suns coach Earl Watson has already named Bledsoe his starting point guard for the season, so it appears there's no longer any lingering concern about the left meniscus tear that limited him to just 31 games a season ago. Bledsoe carries more injury risk that other point guards, but few are as productive when he's at full health. Prior to going down with the knee injury last season, Bledsoe was averaging a career-high 20.4 points to go with 6.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.
