Magic's Evan Fournier: Turns in second straight double-digit performance Wednesday
Fournier collected 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds and a steal over 22 minutes in Wednesday's 117-102 preseason loss to the Cavs.
Analysis:
The talented shooting guard followed up his 18-point effort in Monday's preseason opener with another strong performance from the field Wednesday, and has now shot 12-for-18 from the field over the first two exhibitions, including 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. After managing career highs in points (15.4), rebounds (2.8), assists (2.7) and steals (1.2) in the 2015-16 campaign, Fournier enters the new season armed with a new five-year, $85 million commitment from the Magic and the expectation that he'll pick up more of the scoring burden in the backcourt, especially with Victor Oladipo now in Oklahoma City.
