Jazz's Alec Burks: Ruled out Wednesday

Burks (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason game against the Suns.

Analysis:

Burks still isn't taking full contact in practice while he continues to rehab his left knee following arthroscopic surgery, so it's not surprising that he'll miss a second straight preseason game. Jazz coach Quin Snyder said last week that he expects Burks to be ready to go for the start of the regular season, but the combo guard will likely see a reduced role off the bench after the Jazz added Joe Johnson to their second unit this offseason and will get point guard Dante Exum back from an ACL tear, which sidelined him for all of 2015-16.
