Hornets' Kemba Walker: Practices without restrictions Wednesday

Walker logged a full practice Wednesday and hopes to be available for Thursday's preseason matchup with the Celtics, Matt Rochinski of Hornets.com reports. "I feel great. I've been working hard to get back on the court. Now that I'm back, it felt great to get up and down with my teammates," said Walker. "To get out there and actually play a little bit, to finally get a rhythm, it was cool."

Analysis:

Walker underwent knee surgery in May and has been limited since training camp opened in September. He was able to practice fully over the weekend, but the Hornets opted to hold Walker out of Monday's preseason opener against the Mavericks. After putting in another full practice Wednesday, there's optimism that Walker may suit up for Thursday's game against the Celtics, but word on his availability may not arrive until the conclusion of shootaround Thursday morning. If Walker remains sidelined for the contest, Ramon Sessions would likely make another start in his stead.
